Flagstaff is a working laboratory for sustainability: a mountain town of 75,000 that manages its forests for fire, its aquifer for drought, and its skies for darkness (the world’s first International Dark Sky City), set among tribal nations, public lands, and fast-growing Sun Belt cities.
